Founded originally as the Il An Noor Library in 2023 by scholar Mufti Danish Sardar and dedicated founding companions, our movement rapidly evolved into a registered public charitable trust. The name "Il An Noor" translates in Arabic to "Towards Light".
As a social welfare foundation, we believe true light is found in alleviating human hardship. We receive contributions and good wishes from citizens of diverse religious and cultural backgrounds, and our humanitarian initiatives—food rations, medical relief, student career mentorship, and civic voter assistance—are offered unconditionally to any human being in need.

Mufti Danish Sardar
Founder, Qazi, Islamic Scholar & Full-Time Social Reformer
Mufti Danish Sardar is the heart and soul of Il An Noor Foundation. Despite being a remarkably bright academic student, he made the selfless sacrifice to step away from worldly schooling to devote his youth entirely to traditional Islamic sciences. He memorized the Holy Quran (Hafiz) in Rajasthan, graduated as an Alim from Darul Uloom Taloja, and attained the prestigious qualifications of Mufti and Qazi from the premier seminary of Darul Uloom Deoband.
Deeply rooted and respected in the community, he has harnessed his extensive network to nurture Il An Noor from a modest neighborhood library into a registered trust. He is the only member who works full-time around the clock for Il An Noor without holding any secondary job, personally directing emergency aid, matrimonial dispute counseling, Nikah solemnization, and spiritual lectures.
